The Impact Of Consumerization On Business Process Management

I am working on a piece of research about the impact of consumerization on firms. Consumerization is:

an approach by which employees use technologies such as smartphones, tablets, and cloud services that they master at home or discover on their own to get work done.

In the research we address following questions:

  1. Which business processes and functions are most susceptible to the forces of consumerization?
  2. How does consumerization changes these business processes and functions?
  3. What processes and resources are needed to deliberately manage consumerization?
  4. What are the risks and benefits of deliberately managing consumerization?

Let us know about your experience with managing consumerization at your firm.

If your organization is deliberately managing consumerization, we would love to hear about your experience and refer it in the research.

Thanks.

  • Hi, Alex, nice sets of questions for organizations to deploy BYOD policy and strategy, just read an article from enerprise cio forum, the pitfalls include data security, employee privacy related issues and processes, and the advantage could be such as: boost marale, improve productivity, cost effective and synergy creation via enterprise IT & consumer IT., etc. thanks
